2012 Grosset Springvale Watervale Riesling

The best Grosset Watervale Riesling I’ve tasted. Why? It’s giving and talkative but still eloquent, delineated and supremely articulate.  Drink it now and fall in love with it or cellar some to see what it has to say later on. You can’t lose.

A detailed bouquet of kaffir lime leaves, lemon, cantaloupe rind and talc with green apple flourishes. The palate is effortlessly poised and elegant with fantastic intensity, precision and conviction. The finish shoots off into the distance with a cleansing wet slate epilogue. Utterly compelling. 96 Exceptional

One Response to 2012 Grosset Springvale Watervale Riesling

Easy and rather tough 95 from me, and is indeed perhaps the best Springvale/Watervale I’ve tasted on release – and there have been many good ones.
