2011 De Bortoli Sacred Hill Moscato

I love the smell of Moscato in the morning. Smells like…well, grapes. This is really well executed and smartly priced. Goes well with steamed pork buns too. Another plus.

Grapey and limey with a little musk and some mandarin peel. There’s a bit of spritz visible in the glass and it helps cuts through the residual sugar and fruit sweetness on the palate. It’s slightly sherbety and has some classy sour edges which work a treat. It prances and frolics around on your tongue and then lingers longer than you might have thought, even if it’s not really that long.

Moscato does get better than this…but at the price I’m giving this the big thumbs up. Fun to drink and with enough interest to make me want to write a note. All for $7.50. Go team! Good
