2013 Teusner The Riebke Shiraz

imageGrapes are from the Ebenezer district in the north of the Barossa Valley. An enormously popular wine and it’s not difficult to see why.

Creamy clove spiked oak, rounded mouthfeel. ‘Smooth’ in the parlance of the people. Plums, dark fruits and chocolate. Grainy, nutty tannin. Sweet and giving with a grind of pepper and a sprinkle of rock salt. Not a great deal in the way of form, decent length. Warming. As always, will make many people happy. 90
