2012 Willow Bridge Solana Tempranillo

imageSomehow lost behind a number of other wines on the tasting bench for a long time. Fortunately it’s still the current release. Comes from Geographe in Western Australia.

Ripe red berry and cherry aromas, lavender, earthy roots, cinnamon and pepper. Bright but balanced acidity and plenty of grippy yet dusty tannin. Sweetness with a savoury bent. A hint of French vanilla. Juicy yet structured. Admirable purpose accompanied by generous drinkability. Enjoyed this immensely. 92
