2011 Marques de Tezona Macabeo Sauvignon Blanc

Marques de Tezona Macabeo Sauvignon BlancAnother inexpensive Spanish white quaffer although it isn’t in quite the same league as the Elefante reviewed underneath. 80% Macabeo, 15% Verdejo, 5% Sauvignon Blanc.

Restrained aromatics. Lemon and florals mostly. Sea shells more than brine. Some notes of pear filling it out. Trails away on back palate and is diffuse through the middle. Inoffensive and highly gluggable. Does what it’s aiming to do and offers something a little different for about ten bucks. 87

Region: Castilla La Mancha, Spain
