A new range from Brookland Valley. This offers an affable and flavoursome introduction to the synergy between the Margaret River and Cabernet Sauvignon. I’m very much of the belief that it’s important to get good regional wines at around the twenty-dollar mark out into the public sphere, both here and overseas.
A lifted nose of bay leaf, blackberry and mulberry with biscuity mint chocolate slice characters. The whiff of nail polish is a touch disconcerting but it’s probably helping those fruits pop from the glass. Appropriate tannin but nothing too stern in the greater scheme of things. Deserves an audience and should find one. 89 Good
