A more serious and structured version of Prosecco than the Brown Brothers NV but the sense of bright, frothy fun remains. It tastes a little drier (11g/l residual sugar and an acid level of 6g/l) and the balance of acid and sweetness is more to my taste. There’s also a distinct and attractive almond and nut-skin character that adds complexity and a savoury, slightly bitter counter-point to the varietal fruit flavours.
Green apple and pear with a bit of mashed banana on the midpalate. The finish is refreshingly dominated by lemon citrus. Delicate architecture underpins the infectious enthusiasm in the mouth. Noteworthy persistence. Sophisticated fun. 90 Good
