Harvested from the 40 year-old Semillon block on the Somerset Vineyard in Pokolbin. Made in a very classic style, no tricks up its sleeves – nor does it need them.
Lemon zest, limes and a little hay. Forward enough to show hints of tropical fruit but no more than that. The important thing is that it has intensity and length. Sure, you could do it now with a plate of oysters but its real charms will come with eight or more years in the cellar. 92+ Very Good
