Made by the very talented Anna Pooley who has now moved back to her family roots and label. In some ways a shame as I really liked what she brought to Heemskerk. Still, one person’s loss is another person’s gain. Everything is good for you, if it doesn’t kill you…
This is no showboat but its quiet, insistent nature is utterly compelling. A translucent sparkling wine of line and immaculate length. Lemons, sea shells and hints of white peach with three years on lees adding some pastry characters. Purity of fruit is the go here. It’s pristine and wonderfully understated. Reckon this may improve further with time in the bottle. 93+ Very Good – Excellent
