Arneis hails from Piedmont in north-west Italy. This version (which incorporates 2% Riesling) is another good option for Spring and Summer drinking. I like its savoury character and resolute but not overly agressive acidity. An interesting set of flavours too; not dominated by tropical traits.
Packham pear, grass and herbs, almonds and burnt match on the nose. Briney, citrus marinated green olive characters on the palate are most welcome. Almond skin phenolics rough up the finish slightly. It’s not that intense or showy but it is a pleasant drink. 89 Good
