2008 Provenance Geelong Shiraz

Juicy, come hither style Geelong Shiraz that sits around or just over medium bodied. The vineyard in question has been farmed organically for around 12 years now, with some biodynamic input as well. Attention to detail goes a long way in viticulture and winemaking.

Essence of plum and cherry yet freshness is retained. Cool climate white pepper and some very tasty pan juices make this a tantalising proposition. Hints of anise and charcoal too. The French oak sits behind the fruit comfortably, providing support where needed and contributing to fine, chalky tannin. Controlled generosity. Really enjoyed drinking this. 93 Very Good – Excellent
