2009 Cumulus Shiraz

Glossy wine. Quite sweet and smooth but it’s not really big. It’s actually more in the quaffing realm I reckon. Oh, and the winery website is pretty nifty I must say. Labels are good too…but back to the wine.

Chocolate, plum, blackberry, cherry and mint dominate. Some spice box and aniseed too with hints of tomato bush and coconut. Lively acid needs a swirl in the glass to let it settle. Texture is a highlight for sure.  I found it a touch boring to be honest and I’m not so sure it’s worth the full RRP but still, it’s got a few upsides. Good
