2010 Mitchell Harris Rosé

Macedon, Pyrenees 12.5% Screwcap $21.95

A couple of Rosés tasted at the tail end of last month…reviews held back because this site isn’t called ‘Rosé Will Eat Itself’ – just doesn’t have the same ring about it, does it?

A blend of early picked Macedon Pinot Noir and Pyrenees Sangiovese, its musky perfume, cured pork hues and savoury, dry depth pulled me in straight off the bat. Its all innovation meets classicism and the execution is faultless. Sour cherries with a hint of orange and an entrancing textural quality.

A contemplative wine but one that drinks very easily all the same. Made with real intent. Loved it.
