Much of my preferred Margaret River Chardonnay comes from cooler vineyards in the southern parts of the region. That’s the case here.
Pears, tangy and slightly tart grapefruit and stonefruit. Sourdough, butter, meal and nuts underneath. Finishes pebbly with the lingering presence of woodspice. More oak presence than is apparent in its Great Southern counterpart. Impressive carry too. 92
