2012 Moss Wood Amy’s

imageAmy’s what you may ask? An assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot from Glenmore Vineyard in the Yallingup area at the northern end of the Margaret River GI.

Lots of jubey, jelly like fruit. Xmas cake spice to go along with the black and red pastilles. An intriguing note of blood orange and some Milo. Juicy fruits, spongey mouthfeel with coarse, grainy tannin drying out the finish. None too stern. Dilute though and falls off a cliff shortly after the mid-palate. 86
