Grapes are from the Mount Barker subregion of the Great Southern. Indigenous ferment in tank and older oak.
Some wildness on the nose but it’s like biting into a hybrid of fresh nectarine and white peach on entry. Love the barrel work. The fruit is pristine and gorgeous. It only needs a little textural support and that’s what it gets. Lees does its job without obfuscating matters. Some red apple and nougat to close. The finish isn’t overly extensive but everything that’s here is totally delicious. 91
