2013 McPherson The Full Fifteen

imageSourced from South Australia and New South Wales. Not sure what the name refers to. Perhaps the ABV? No varieties listed on the bottle but it tastes Cabernet dominant.

Big bruiser of a wine. Black currants and a liqueur-like character. Vanilla, prunes, caramelised sweet potato and cloves. Warm and sweet. Too warm really but certainly gives you a gobful of slightly spirity flavour. Grainy tannin. Doesn’t hold any interest for me whatsoever but at $18 I can see drinkers of a certain persuasion jumping on board. 86
