2013 Bleeding Heart Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc

imageI’m curious as to why Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc isn’t more popular. Not that I’m enamoured by the regional expression myself but the primary fruited inoffensiveness it generally offers would seem to me to be exactly what many consumers are after. Especially at this price.

Passionfruit, melon and pineapple sunshine with just a hint of nettles and herbs. The finish isn’t overly long but it offers enough citrus tang. Before that the wine is generous but not sickly sweet and the acidity doesn’t strip the enamel from my teeth. Very easy-going. 86
