The Great Southern isn’t necessarily among the initial regions that come to mind when you’re thinking about Chardonnay but I can’t see any reason for that to remain the case in the long term.
Butter, bran and porridge (breakfast wine?) alongside peaches, melon and green apple merging with pear. Leesy, nutty body with balanced toasty spiced oak input. It feels and tastes worked and mouthfilling but it avoids excess and flabbiness quite deftly with the fruit remaining fresh and vital. Well executed within its chosen style, providing plenty of bang for your buck. 90
