Not of the same standard as the excellent 2012 but a good wine nonetheless. Sixteen hours skin contact, wild yeast fermented with 70% in French barriques and the remainder in stainless steel. Three months on lees.
Lemons, gooseberry, nettles, herbs and buttered asparagus with almonds. Savoury lees-like characters and a layer of smokiness. Quite grippy and tannic on day one although that eases with time. The fruit is punchy at first, extending into pineapple but it also backs off after a couple of hours. Good length. 90
