A blend of Mataro and Grenache, or so the bottle tells me. The Salsa is an ever-reliable wine and the 2013 is on song.
To indulge in synaesthesia, there’s some purple and blue amongst the red hues. Aniseed, pepper and scorched earth accompany the fruit. Alluring aromas and flavours. Restrained creaminess and tannin. Has a strong savoury presence. Around the 90/91 mark. I’ll be conservative. 90
