I do like the La Boheme Pinot Rosé but I miss the Estate version which I don’t believe has been made since the 2011 vintage. A matter of market demand? This is fermented in small casks using indigenous yeasts and given a little lees stirring at the end of fermentation. Made from “94% Pinot Noir with a splash of other aromatic varieties”.
Cherry and pomegranate perfume with citrus and a hint of earthiness. Creamy at first then phenolics pull the palate tight like my purse strings, leaving a spicy taste in the mouth. Good drinking – at its best with some food to utilise that tannin. 91
