A more feminine and perfumed Hoddles Creek 1er Pinot Noir than the previous 2010 release but every bit as good. 20% whole bunches, eighteen months in barrel.
Roses, raspberries, smoked meats, sour cherry and black spice. It’s highly structured and needs a thorough decant if you’re going to get stuck in now but its future is assured. Lively acid and layered tannin that works its way through the flavours as it heads towards a stony, slightly herbal, sappy and savoury finish. Only just medium-bodied at most however it has unwavering intensity and very good reach. 94+

I’m really looking forward to trying this Pinot Noir, I can’t wait actually. I should have a case here within the next 5 days, fingers crossed.
