2012 Printhie Mountain Range Chardonnay

printhie mountain chardGood drinking for the price. More than competent if a little lacking in personality.

White stonefruits and lemon curd with citrus accented acidity contributing a well-defined line. The oak is a little clunky but fortunately it’s not a dominant feature. It does contribute mild woodspice to the finish. There’s a touch of herbaceousness on the nose and palate but it sits well within the wine. We’re not talking Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc levels by any means. Clean, uncluttered cool climate Chardonnay pleasure. 89
