The Frankland River subregion of the Great Southern in WA is the northern most inland part of the GI. The wine presents some surprisingly developed notes considering its relatively young age.
Wax and a hint of toast already. It is gaining body and has some width through the mid-palate before tightening up on a pithy, wet pebble finish. Flavours and aromas are of Bickford’s Lime Cordial and lemon zest. No kerosene. Not as much persistence as one might hope for but the generosity it currently offers has its own appeal. My guess is that it will be at its best over the next two or three years. 91
