I believe this is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay although I’m happy to be corrected. Certainly tastes as though there is some Chardonnay in the mix.
This really did blow me away and I’d like to lay some down to see how it ages. Red fruits mix with white peach, yeasty notes, apples and grapefruit. A very fine bead and delectable mouthfeel. Once again there is a bit of width through the middle but the structure and line remain sturdy. Elegance and extravagance in one package. The balance between fruit expression and autolytic character is laudable. Sour cream pastry and brioche play a role but do not dominate. Silky, constrained voluptuousness and excessive persistence. Chalky grip on the finish. Top notch. 95
