2013 Trentham Estate Pinot Noir

“Wine of Australia” it says on the label. I’m no fan of “Brand Australia” but this is all I have to go on. It has new livery too and the website is hopelessly out of date so I can’t provide an image. It really wasn’t worth me taking a photo.

Rubbery reduction. Unpleasantly so. Masks the berry and plum fruits well. Basic but prominent oak. Awkward acid and tannin structure. No real enjoyment to be had from this bottle. 82

  1. Jesse says:

I remember thinking these Pinots used to be good value in the past. Haven’t had one for a couple of years

  2. I used to think the same thing although it’s been years since I tried one myself too. I’ve got a couple more varieties to get through so hopefully I’ll get a better result with them.
