The pricing of wine is always a difficult concept to wrap one’s head around. All I’ll say about this La Vendetta Pinot Grigio is that while it doesn’t ask you to dig too deeply into your pockets I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t buy one of the Mandoleto 2012 whites over this if your parameters can be limited to quality. Both are imported by Fourth Wave Wine. The Mandoletos have an even less expensive RRP.
Ho-hum. A bit of pear and apple, lemon-lime citrus, some bitter nuts and herbs, a commercial syrupy sheen to help you handle all the crisp white wine refreshment that you think you like. Pithy grip to finish but not enough to remove a saccharin aftertaste. Actually, it reads more interestingly than it drinks. 84
