2013 Willow Bridge Dragonfly Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

willow bridge sbsWhen I pour decent SSBs or SBSs for non-wine enthusiast friends they almost invariably end up enjoying them. Some even start to buy the blends from retail stores to break up their diet of cheap and nasty no-name New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc – which makes me happy. This is a good example.

Fresh sunlight lemon citrus and grass over herbs. Thank you Semillon. Plenty of Sauvignon gooseberry and passionfruit making it recognisable and familiar though. Has a back-palate and a bit of length not to mention a touch of creaminess in the mouth tempering the clean acid wipe. Simple drinking but it deserves some plaudits. 88
