Interesting name for a Mataro. Sourced from the Threefold Farm vineyard in Angaston on the lower slopes of the Eastern Range in the Barossa Valley.
Black and blue fruits, plums, iron, pepper, brown leaf, aniseed and meat. Chocolate oak. Has a kind of swamp rock vibe from the 2011 vintage but it works well enough here. Really good shape, fine but authoritative tannin and good extension. Leans firmly toward the savoury side of life. 90
