2012 Woodlands Chardonnay

woodlands chardonnayWell, you know it’s really not the style of Chardonnay I like drinking all that much but I can see why it has a fan base. I’d even go so far as to say it deserves it considering the price.

Brazen, ripe and rambunctious. Pineapple, grilled yellow peach and plenty of toasty oak. A distinct hit of ginger and cinnamon spice wraps it up. Full bodied but there’s enough grapefruit acidity to animate proceedings and provide definition. A syrupy edge remains. Adequate length. That sweet ball of sunny flavour wins many a heart. 89 Good
