2011 Printhie MCC Chardonnay

printhie mcc chardMCC = Mount Canobolas Collection. It’s Printhie’s Reserve Range although I applaud them for not putting the word “Reserve” on the label. Such a hackneyed term in wine.

Grapefruit, nectarine, almonds and a little mandarin. Some refined sulphides and spice. Oak is in the background. It’s milky and slightly amorphous on the palate, lacking midpalate stuffing and a convincing finish to justify the price. But it is a fair wine. 89 Good

Region: Orange
Alcohol: 12.5%
Closure: Screwcap
Price: $36
Tasted: March 2013
