A big step up from the 2010 release here. You can put a lot of that down to superior oak integration. It’s there but it simply doesn’t feel hard or raw.
Lemon citrus and mandarin slice through white and yellow peach. Woodspice, toast, cream and a hint of butterscotch sit at ease with the sweetish fruit flavours. Has some palate weight but doesn’t lack a bit of finesse either. No great complexity or focus but it provides smart drinking and regional veracity for less than twenty dollars. 90 Good
