A juicy and angular Cabernet with lashings of cedar and clove oak. The acid is brisk at the moment but it’s clearly a wine meant for the cellar rather than immediate consumption.
Aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, shaving foam, charred red peppers, cooking chocolate and earth. Lots of eucalypt as well. It’s jubey on entry but the tannin grips like a python early on and constricts the sweetness, leaving behind ropes of drying, savoury phenolics. 90+ Good
