2009 Blue Pyrenees Midnight Cuvée

Blue Pyrenees Midnight Cuvee“…the best examples of estate grown Chardonnay grapes are handpicked under the light of the midnight moon to avoid the heat of the day. This allows for the grapes to be in optimum condition in addition to an increase in natural acidity”

A blanc de blancs then, with typical linearity. Lemon citrus and peach fuzz with hints of sourdough and cut green apple. Crisp and clean with a little marzipan on the palate. A touch coarse in the mouth and it lacks some intensity and depth but it’s a decent Sparkling all up. 87 Average – Good
