2012 Pikes “Traditionale” Riesling

There’s a real sense of abundance without a corresponding loss of structure in many of these 2012 Clare Valley Rieslings. This is a perfect example of that dynamic but what really sets it apart is its emphatic length.

Bountiful lemons and limes, apple blossom, talc and slate. Acidity is fine and sits beautifully within the flavours of the wine. Glides through its line with generosity, precision and focus. I’ll be buying a few bottles of this to drink over the Summer and a few more to stash in the cellar. All class. 95 Excellent – Exceptional
