A blend of Italian varieties, left unspecified on the label. Presents with a slight spritz and a light watermelon colour (see the neck of the image rather than the colour in the rest of the bottle)
All kinds of savoury and herbal elements going on; fennel bulb and thyme chief amongst them. Some sour lollies on entry, a sweeter strawberry/cherry centre and a crisp finish. It rolls around nicely in the mouth before you swallow and there’s a giving sort of softness accompanying orange citrus acids. Quite fascinating and very food friendly. Antipasti for me. Good
