The Vermentino revolution continues to gather steam. A fair number of producers are getting a handle on how to wrangle the best out of this variety. Roll on, I say.
This is chalky and lemony with an odd but enjoyable suggestion of fresh salad. The flavour, though light, builds through the line until we reach some pear. Nice acid too – brisk but not hard. Hints of bath salts and brine on a tart and extensive finish. Great summer drinking and (sea)food friendly as well. Good – Very Good
