2011 Mule Viognier

Another Mule of a Viognier…just joking. This is pretty good. It avoids most of the pitfalls of the variety – not too oily, not too flabby, not too watery, not too over the top.

Tangerine and white florals, apricot kernels, nuts and musk on the nose. A little leesy savoury funk fits right in. The palate has more tinned apricot and a slick of sweet fruit through the mid-palate (which I’m less fond of) but it isn’t very distracting. I like a well made Viognier and I’d drink this any day of the week. Good
