My struggles with Adelaide Hills Pinot continue. This is fine. Good even…but I’d hoped for more from a promising vintage.
Full of cherries and strawberries. Some woodsy characters but in general it’s sweet and very approachable. It did get more savoury and shapely on day two. Easy to drink and with a streak of minerality that I hope (and think) will see the wine improve with age but currently it’s a bit simple for higher marks. Still, it should please the casual punter looking for a Pinot to drink right now. Good – Very Good
