2011 Redbank Sunday Morning Pinot Gris

“Sunday morning, praise the dawning
It’s just a restless feeling, by my side” – The Velvet Underground

Did you know that if you google ‘Sunday Morning Lyrics’ you get links to Maroon 5 and No Doubt songs as the first two results? There’s something wrong with the world today…

This wine is very much a product of its vintage. The acidity is a touch too green and uncomfortable. It smells of lemon, soap, apple and a little honeysuckle but the sensation when you put it in your mouth is not unlike that of biting into an unripe banana. A bifurcated palate with structure and flavour running parallel, never to meet. The first glass is nice enough but after that the rawness builds up. It may improve with some more time in the bottle. Well you came up with the breeze…
    I love No Doubt.

  2. Don’t tell me ’cause it hurts.

Never liked No Doubt – in any of their guises.

  3. GW says:

    You’re really lovely
    Underneath it all
