Tasted alongside the Agrapart & Fils Terroirs Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru NV earlier this week and it is a better wine…not that it’s always a competition. The Larmandier-Bernier is finer and more elegant. Sometimes I’d choose to drink it, other times I might take what the Agrapart offers.
Blended from the 2002, 2004 and 2005 vintages with the latter predominant at 60%. Dosage is 4 grams. Imported by the Bibendum Wine Co. and now available at Dan Murphys. Grower Champagne goes mainstream?
A very delicate Blanc de Blancs with a chiseled visage. It’s reminiscent of lemon biscotti, white flowers, citrus zest and almond meal. There’s a sherbet edge to the back palate but it finishes dry. Penetrative and driven. Excellent – Exceptional
