2010 Belgravia Gewürtztraminer

Orange 13.0% Screwcap $22

This wine had me at the nose…and let’s face it, a good Gewürtztraminer should be aromatically charged.

Turkish delight, lychees, pink musk sticks and ginger leap from the glass. Leap I say! It tastes as it smells; perhaps a little more subdued. Citrus accented acids give form to a gentle mouthfeel and there’s just enough spice to make the conclusion satisfying.

It’s pretty, it’s captivating and it’s delicious to drink. What more could you ask for? Well, maybe a bowl of  Szechuan Twice Cooked Pork…
