Is it just me, or are these guys consistently producing underwhelming overpriced wines?
I’ve only been sent two of their wines and previous to that the last time I tasted any was the 2004 vintage. But the two I’ve been sent haven’t set the world on fire and the RRPs aren’t cheap.
There’s always a market for this simple dross. Loyal mailout list would form a big part of it. Just look at how much crap Cellarmasters move to what, around 400,000 subscribers, isn’t it? They really got in early and good, with the online business!
To think Rymill produced a stunning rhone-like 1999 Shiraz that I’m still enjoying. The sad demise of a once good label.
