Silver medal – Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland Wine Show 2014. Umm, ok. Partially matured in a large egg-shaped ceramic amphora with 70% in old French hogsheads.
Aromas bring to mind a Cherry Ripe spread lightly with tinned corn. Loads of sweet fruit with some respite via varietal dried herbs. Acidity thrusts its hips forward in a metallic and untoward manner. Plush and awkward Sangiovese. Savoury tannin and very limited length. 85
