Wild yeast fermented and aged in French barriques for eighteen months. Remains one of my favourite New Zealand Pinot Noirs.
Expressive and dynamic. Concentrated red berry-cherry fruits, cinnamon, dark chocolate and pepper. Vibrant yet integrated acidity. Sappy edges and a suggestion of field mushrooms. The tannin is fine and tight. Excellent poise and persistence. 94
