2012 Medhurst Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

imageA little more bold than the Yarra Valley Cabernets I’m used to drinking. Not necessarily a bad thing and certainly not untoward in style.

Black fruits, not really cassis but getting close. Pressed flowers. Mint and brown leaf matter. Cedar, coffee grounds and chocolate. A notch above medium-bodied but the acidity and long-stand tannin holds everything in place. Would just like to see a touch more length. 90
