Fruit comes from a vineyard planted in Portland, Drumborg in 1982. 10g/l residual sugar. The last Dr Nadeson to be made from this site as the owners have reached a time in their life where they wish to engage in other pursuits. A wine I’ve always enjoyed, so there is a little sadness while tasting this.
Tension and balance. A jump start of acidity propels the wine forward while a slightly honeyed width expands on the leesy mid-palate. Key lime pie, guava and mandarin. Narrows again on a chalk and pebble note which lingers wistfully. 93
