Important to get some aged releases of Great Southern Riesling into the market I think. While they can be wonderfully floral in their youth the somewhat stern and austere disposition that enables them to age may be challenging for certain consumers. This 2010 is in a happy place right now but it should kick on for at least another five years. Probably longer.
It’s beginning to get a little toasty. Burgeoning body and some waxiness in the mouth. Fine and sturdy acidity steers the ship from the Nashi pear, lime, orange peel and grapefruit entry to the slatey, cleansing finish. A little aniseed to close. Just dandy. 93
