Block F lies to the far west of the Heathcote Estate vineyard, rooted in the deepest Cambrian soil.
Instantly recognisable by its floral perfume and softer, juicier fruit. Slightly musky with berries running the gamut of the darker colour spectrum; black, blue and purple. Expressive. A greater sense of freshness and urgency when compared to its siblings. A bit of spice. The tannins are layered and I’m guessing there is some whole bunch inclusion. If so it seems primarily evident at a structural level. The most approachable of the three wines but that doesn’t mean it won’t age gracefully. 94
